Great Milestones – Operational Works Approval

There have been some great milestones reached with Edenvale Estate over the last few weeks. We have officially received operational works approval, so we can start building Irwin road and Brumby drive as well as the water, telecommunications and electrical for all the new blocks. Also with the fibre optic network running right past the estate, the next stage is able to tap into high speed broadband.

At Edenvale you are far enough away from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to still remain connected. With the operational works approved, we can officially sign up pre-sale contracts, and with the state government construction stimulus package of $10,000 for new home buildings there is no better time to build your dream home.

Greener on the Other Side

Edenvale has definitely had its fair share of rain over the last month. Everything is very green and luscious and the grazing cattle are loving the buffet of fresh grass. There is so much of it, that they are having a hard time keeping the grass ‘mowed’.

Even with the massive amount of rain that we have had, the creek was flowing freely well below its banks and did not flood or overflow or come up high at all.

Even so, the creek will be realigned to allow a more controlled flow of water and improved drainage over the whole estate once it has been fully constructed in the coming months. This means better positioned home sites and safer land for the kids and all the family to enjoy for generations to come.

The developers are anticipating construction commencement of Stage 2 in the coming month or so. Stage 1 has been completed and is now under contract with a very fortunate buyer who signed an Intention to Purchase early – avoiding disappointment.

Getting in early by choosing a Lot NOW means you get to secure a great home site PLUS longer settlement time which gives you more time to design and prepare your acreage dream home.

Flood Relief – Global Care

I’m sure we have all been affected one way or another by witnessing the recent Brisbane floods. We personally have family in the Brisbane area and we were very thankful that they were safe, high and dry.

Our heart goes out to those who have lost property, possessions but most of all those who have lost loved ones. Even through the midst of disaster and despair their is hope and it is great to see the amount of people getting in and helping out any way they can, financially or just simply grabbing a shovel and helping clean up.

The developers of Edenvale support various missions and causes both locally and internationally, and these floods being at our very doorstep they have rallied behind the efforts of Global Care. This organization is on the ground right now in facilitating the clean up and rebuilding efforts by supplying food, clothing and other goods to help the flood victims back on their feet.

10 things I love about living on acreage

The view is truly amazing and I get to see it everyday!
You can talk to your neighbours because you want to, not because they live 3 feet from your bedroom window .
You can seriously stargaze while dinner cooks, and see every constellation, satellite and shooting star in the Southern Hemisphere.
The neighbours keep an eye out for you, but they can’t WATCH you.
When your kids fight, you can chuck one out the front door and one out the back door, and tell them to keep going until they reach a fence.
You can bring a puppy home and it can turn into a Great Dane (minature horse) and still live with you.
On acreage, nobody can hear you sing. So no more embarrasing moments with the neighbours….
It is quiet, until you learn to hear the birds, and the farm animals, and the horses and me singing….
There is always something to do…you will never get bored on acreage. Drop into your local winery, join the ponyclub, fix a fence, sit under a tree with a book, plant 10 trees that will grow 50 metres tall. Go wild with your imagination!

Looking greener and lusher than ever

With the unseasonal rain we received during the last couple of weeks Edenvale Estate is looking greener and lusher than ever. The creek has been flowing and looking spectacular. It is becoming more and more evident that this Estate is truly in the Valley of Eden. We are fast approaching the end of year, and many people and businesses are already in the end of year rush – trying to get all their work finished before Christmas. With all the hustle and bustle of the “rush season” its easy to lose sight on what is important.

Personally I can’t wait for the Christmas break as it means spending time enjoying summer and the great outdoors with family and friends. Walking over Edenvale Estate and breathing in the fresh air and listening to the birds and children playing footy posed the thought that why should we have to wait until the ‘holidays’ or even the weekend to enjoy the great outdoors and let the kids loose?

This what life should be like all the time – should it? At Edenvale with space to live, why can’t everyday be a holiday?
